Rapunzel by ferinyae Rapunzel by ferinyae
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down.
Nearly everybody knows the tale of the young lady locked up in the tallest tower (or at least, nearly whole Europe does). Rapunzel, the girl with the long hair, will be the subject of the next artjam organized by :iconmadmoiselleclau:

I have never yet participated in an art jam. I have intended to do so in the past, but never had the time for it. This art jam, being subject of a fairy tale, was a huge inspiration source for me, so I decided to take the chance and really start on an artwork this time!

Tiny Tip:
If you're serious, buy a graph tablet! It is really useful as it makes it easier to correct some colours, small imperfections and add detail, just by using the brush tool! For small details -which I really LOVE to paint- such as tiny cracks, patterns and cobwebs, I usually use a small white brush that is controlled in thickness by the pen pressure.

This is Such a well done piece and the shadows make everything so incredibly realistic.  However, I would recommend remembering that this Rapunzel.  She has to get all of that hair to the bottom of the tower so that people can climb it.  Even without that part of the story, the hair is the fun part to draw, so you should use that to your advantage.  I guess "more hair" is what I'm trying to say.  Just a suggestion.  Really quality work, though
